Australian Lions Foundation

The Australian Lions Foundation was formed with the sole purpose of providing help and assistance for public relief, emergency aid and community welfare for persons in necessitous circumstances.
Funds come from gifts received from Lions, Lioness and Leo Clubs, Zones, Districts and other Lions Groups, individuals and interest from investments. Recognition of these gifts can be given through the ALF Award Program as follows:-
$2,000 Gift William R Tresise Fellow Award
$1,000 Gift Ian M Stockdale Humanitarian Award
$500 Gift James D Richardson Honour Award
$250 Gift Sponsor Club Banner Patch
There is no restriction on the donor as to who they can recognise.

Awards cannot be given for gifts to special appeals like bushfire, drought, floods, etc.

Australian Lions Drug Awareness Foundation

The aim of the Australian Lions Drug Awareness Foundation is to promote awareness and prevention of abuse of alcohol and other drugs.

The objectives of the Foundation are to:-
- Promote awareness of alcohol and other drug abuse, especially the factors predisposing it;
- Develop education and prevention activities, in local communities;
- Participate in campaigns in line with the aim of the Foundation;
- Actively promote and support counselling and rehabilitation programs.

The Community Drug Education Workshop program aims to provide background information on drug use and practices of skills to plan and implement local activities aimed at minimising harm associated with drug use.
